Facility

Families enter All Souls School through the garden. The garden is the before- and after-school gathering place for children and their adults. The trees, shrubs, and flowers provide an appropriate entry to their All Souls experience.

The light-filled classrooms are on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors of Wiggen House. The classrooms are designed and filled with materials where children can create and respond to learning experiences. Each classroom has a large block building area, a library, a dramatic play area, work tables, a variety of art materials that are available to the children as well as those for projects with teachers, and a sensory table.

The roof playground is on the 5th floor with shrubs, flowers and herbs in season and is a place for outdoor exploration and play. With the wheeled toys, big block sets, and play house structure, the children have space to imagine and create while enthusiastically using their large muscles. A multipurpose room on the entry floor is used for movement and afterschool enrichment classes. The children’s library is on the entry floor and always available for parents, caregivers, and children to read and borrow books. The indoor/outdoor atelier in the cellar provides a light-filled space for art explorations and large scale project work.
