The Application Process

Applications for admissions to All Souls School are distributed through a lottery process.

We take all requests for applications by phone, from 9:00 am on the Tuesday after Labor Day through 12:00 pm on the Friday of the same week. We do not accept requests for applications by fax, letters, or walk-ins.

During the following week, all the requests are divided according to the ages and gender of the children. Then names are randomly pulled from each age/gender group. These families will receive applications. The number of applications sent out depends upon the specific number of openings that we anticipate for the coming year. In general, we maintain a ratio of three applications for every space.

Families who are drawn in the lottery are sent applications in the mail. Families who are not drawn will also be notified by mail.

Eligible Children

To be eligible for enrollment in the upcoming school year, children must be 2.6 years old by September of the following year. We have established a “cut-off” birth date of March first.

Children that will be older than 3.10 years old in September of the upcoming year are not included in the lottery. Families with children older than 3.10 that are interested in enrolling should call the school before January to request an application. Applications for our four-year-old groups will be distributed when we have determined the number of four-year-old spaces that will be available.

Scholarships are available to eligible families.



School Visits

When applications are received by the school, families will be sent a letter which schedules a tour of the school for parents and a playgroup session for their child. Tours and playgroups are scheduled from October through February. Parents who received applications will also receive an invitation to attend an early fall informational meeting.

Sibling Policy

All Souls School accepts all siblings of children who have attended our school for at least two years. The children will be invited to attend admissions playgroups with other children of the same age. Parents of siblings are asked to fill out an application during the spring before Labor Day, so that we can determine the number of spaces that will be available to new families.
